Who is the Core of Knowledge course for?
Anyone who uses, or is training to use, a laser or IPL for hair removal or skin treatments, including people renewing an existing certificate.

How long does it take?
About 3 hours in total. It's self-paced, so you can do it in one sitting or spread it over a few weeks.

How do I get my certificate?
Pass the final assessment and your certificate is ready to download straight away. We'll also email you a copy.

What if I don't pass first time?
You can resit the final assessment. Rewatch any lessons you need first.

How long is the certificate valid for?
3 years from the date you pass. We'll email you before it expires.

Is the course CPD accredited?
Not yet. We're applying for CPD accreditation, and the course will open for booking once it's approved. Join our mailing list on the homepage to hear as soon as it launches.

Does this course qualify me to treat clients?
No. A Core of Knowledge covers laser and IPL safety. It doesn't replace practical training on your device. Your insurer and local authority may have their own requirements too, so check with them.

How long do I have access?
12 months from the date you enrol.

What do I need?
A phone, tablet or computer with an internet connection. Sound helps, as the lessons are narrated.
