About the course

Running a beauty clinic or salon is a different job from treating clients. This course covers what a beauty clinic manager is responsible for, in 29 short video lessons with captions (about 70 minutes), 6 practical workbooks you complete for your own business, a quiz after each module and a final assessment with an 80% pass mark and unlimited resits. It takes about 3 hours in total, online and at your own pace. You'll learn which licences, registrations and age restrictions apply to beauty treatments in each UK nation, how to manage health and safety, COSHH, hygiene, first aid, fire safety and accident reporting, how to recruit, induct, train and lead a team, how to manage pay, tips, employment status and staff fairly and lawfully, how to keep clients safe through consultation, patch testing, consent, records, complaints and reactions, and how to run the business with KPIs, fair deposit terms, advertising rules and client data protection. It's for senior therapists stepping up to manage a clinic or salon, new managers who want a clear framework, and owners training a team member into a manager role. It covers general beauty treatments such as facials, skin treatments, waxing, lashes, brows and nails. It doesn't cover injectables or other medical aesthetics, and laser clinics should take our Laser Clinic Manager course instead. CPD accreditation is in progress, and we hope to have the result by the end of November 2026. Certificates issued before accreditation is confirmed are certificates of completion and won't show CPD hours. This course isn't a regulated qualification.
